Joni Mitchell documentary

Watched a superb documentary on Joni Mitchell on Friday night on the BBC Arts digital channel, BBC4. Struck by the interview with her threaded through the programme. She has aged but is still strikingly beautiful...Also appeared to be a chain smoker which, for some reason, took me aback. This closely followed by a documentary on Nina Simone, along with recollections from her band of many years. Apparently she turned up to play at Ronnie Scott's wearing a lush overcoat, trainers, and carrying a Tescos shopping bag. Then she sat down and started to play.
