Dvorak's String Quartets are such bliss.
Sometimes I wonder if he is my favourite composer. Why? Because he somehow keeps the focus on melody but never descends in to schmaltz or melody for melody's sake. He keeps a strong sense of structure, has wonderful wistful harmonies, and is always moving, always going somewhere, yet somehow these gorgeous (and sumptuous) melodies are at the heart of the process.
